Budgetel Huadu Hotel

I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel again on Dec 13. Everything was smooth on check-in although they did do the standard request of asking me to sign the credit card deposit receipt. A lot of people don't know this, but these is no reason for your credit card signature to be required on the deposit receipt with hotels in China. A lot of hotels here will try this, but they shouldn't be. If you stay at any IC hotel for example, they never require you to sign the deposit receipt. Anyway, hotel as usual was very clean. I was very happy with the room. Everything was exactly what I was looking for in the room. The only nuissance was a couple knocks at the door at night, but this was easy to ignore.

The restaurant though has really detiorated since I last stayed at this hotel. I ordered my usual Popcorn Chicken and a plate of "Black Pepper Beef Fried Spaghetti" as I guess the English name is. After taking my order the waitress returned within one minute to tell me they had no noodle. I asked her if it is normal for a restaurant in China to have no noodle. She said in fact they had no rice and no noodle. In other words, this restaurant was a steakhouse and they had no ingredients to prepare the cheaper dishes for me. In other words, they just wanted me to order a more expensive steak dish. The prices of the steaks are already cheap anyways, but I really don't like it when a restaurant tries to pull bull#$%$ like this. It was so obvious they just wanted to push me to order something else.

The steak was half-cooked. The waiter dropped my Popcorn Chicken on the table and just smiled and walked away without even apologising.

I work in sourcing. When I travel to factories I just want a hotel with that is clean, safe, and can refuel my body with simple Chinese food. I don't need anything fancy. But because of the crappy experience with the restaurant this time, I need to say the service was So-So and maybe I find a new hotel in Yiwu.

We stayed a just one night but will definitely come back for longer for business...the hotel staff were friendly (note english level ability wasn't that great, but I guess thats normal for small towns), gave us rooms before the normal checkout time (we arrived in the morning) and even gave us directions and a map to get us started. Rooms are normal size for china and clean, lovely bay window couches. Unlike the usual chinese hotel practice of not switching on the bar fridge, thankfully they did. we were also given welcome drink coupons as well (coffee) but it all tasted the same to us whether is was Brazilian or Mocha! More room to improve there. Break fast is average but does the business.

I was able to stay at this hotel again last night. Generally it was ok. The only bad point I must add is they need to work on having at least one staff member available with a good command of English. I called room service for Popcorn Chicken and after the restaurant passed the phone to a few different employees, eventually the last girl only said "bye bye" and hung up on me. Very rude I think. But other than that, I still feel this a very good hotel to stay at when you are just looking for clean, safe, and comfortable. Excellent value and good breakfast.

For someone who arrives late at night and must depart in the morning and only looking for a clean safe place to sleep, this is an excellent value choice. The room and hotel are clean. Everything was there that I needed. Room size was sufficient and the decoration was ok. Breakfast was totally fine. I was at a 700cny hotel in xiamen the week before, but the western breakfast at this budget hotel in Yiwu was far superior. I will stay there again tonight. Hopefully I have the same experience.

All in all, an above average stay at this clean hotel. Service was de rigeur; the basics fulfilled satisfactorily.

The steak house in level 2 is highly recommed! it is cheap and great. It's China!

this hotel is every bit as luxurious as the Kingdom hotel, and even more modern. The decor is contemporary but comfortable, and the amenities packages in each room include soap and shampoo, and also toothbrush, tooth paste, razor, “mitt for scrubbing”, and yes, condoms. We were very happy with the hotel, and the staffs – all of whom were gregarious, friendly, and, dare I say it, attractive.

ps: BIG LCD TV and the fast interent connection in the room suprised me a lot,
all in all it is a very new, fasion hotel, i will stay again if i come to YIWU

Free shuttle bus to the market, it is very good.

每次到义乌出差的第一选择，价格适中，周边有很多餐馆之类的，购物也比较方便，对面就有一家星巴克。酒店的床非常舒服，卫生作为商务酒店也很OK，就是隔音差了点~

没什么特别的，还可以吧，就是房间有点小， 早餐种类不多，价格也还适中，如没别的选择，可以试试

周边也还可以，出差的话还比较方便
