Hotel is in a nice quiet location, but it is out of the way of everywhere. You will not be able to get a taxi here, maybe they can call one, but they would need some time to get there. If you don't drive don't stay here until they figure out some kind of system to transport guests. You don't want to be trapped at this hotel, the food is 2 star quality with 5 star pricing, served by a staff that just doesn't have a clue. I decided to try the restaurant, I walked up to the hostess and told her three people, no reaction at all, so I repeated in chinese, she asks me "how may I help you". I thought it was clear that three people standing at the entrance to a restaurant that we wanted dinner. We finally got a table (only people in the entire place), twenty minutes of searching for an iPad to show us the menu, they finally came. I ordered rigatoni with tomato sauce and chorizou. I got penne with olive oil and prosciutto. It was not bad though. For 88rmb they could have done much nicer. The "western restaurant" has more asian dishes than western, but they have a steakhouse opening soon that I am anxious to try. Hopefully all the steaks are not 388rmb like the wagyu steak they had at this restaurant. I think the staff just needs a little training, they are very friendly, just have not had the chance to practice out the opening kinks as I rarely saw another guest (i stayed here twice for 6 nights total and only saw about 6 guests the entire time). It is a nice retreat away from Yiwu, but you are kind of trapped there. |
