Xiamen Huaqiao Hotel

Chinese average hotel, probably was famous which is convenient for meetings, location is good too near the pedestrian streets which are very nice !
Very hard beds, no window view and little furnished, but clean and with fast wifi for internet.
Just for sleep !!

Perfect location, public transportation is easy to get, safe area to stay

Very good location near pedestrian street (Zhongshan Lu). I stayed at a Deluxe Room which was very comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was ok as well. I fully recommend this hotel, though had to pay an extra tax as well.

This restaurant is not nanaged by the hotel. I inteded to visit the restaurant located at the 3rd floor, but when using the staircase, you will reach the door step of the 2nd floor restaurant.
They use recycle oil and the oil is not fresh. But they do not admit it. Avoid this restaurant AT ALL COST. They do not have any menu but only pictures for you to place order.

Location is perfect. The room looks exactly like the pictures shown during booking. The room size is good enough although its a bit worn out if you check the cabinets and CR, but still ok. There is an additional 4% tax that they add up to your bill which they did not mention at booking time.

We had a pleasant stay! will come back here next time we are in XiaMen. Thank you!

Room 8001- biz deluxe room

AC is not cold but this is typical of hotels in China.
Spoke with Front desk and maintenance and they confirmed only one of 2 main AC condensors was turned on. Usually hotels put up a bigger fight to turn down the temp, but in this case they offered immediately to turn on 2nd unit.
I still decided to change hotels due to not being able to individually control my room temp (there's a thermostat but the maintenance guy said it's only purpose served to adjust the fan speed).
Overall room size was great (~40sqm), view of the backside of a bldg, ok English but the bathroom was dim, shower/tub was very dated and dingy and the elevators were very dimly lit and the bed quite hard.
Not bad for the money (580rmb incl svc charge) but I would trade a smaller room for higher quality and better ac.

The hotel enjoys a very convenient location, close to one end of Zhongshan Road, handy for shopping. A ten-min walk takes us to the seaside ferry. the facilities in the main building are OK but the attached building looks shabby. My room is newly decorated, budget style. It's very clean and this is what I care most.

I saw there is a kind of suite with 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds, very good for a family. This kind of room type is not available on Ctrip.

Service is good and the breakfast also satisfying. I'll still stay here next time.

It offers free airport pick-up. Reception staff are warm and considerate. Room is kinda old but the hotel location is good, handy to Zhongshan Road and the ferry to Gulangyu is within walking distances.

酒店的位置很好，旁边就是步行街，但酒店的设施确实有些老，不过房间打扫的还是很干净的，如果 不是特别的挑剔，也还可以。
