Yun's Paradise Hotel

Great location overall, but could use a Starbucks near by. Lobby is a little dated, but room was excellent. No wireless in rooms, but had (typically slow) LAN. Breakfast was just ok. Good selection of pastries, but hot food was not to my taste. Probably will use again when I need to stay in this part of Shanghai.

It is a convenient location, nice and modern rooms with a for me perfect bathroom.
Breakfast is in a kind of poor environment. Probably for the hotel just a necessary something to have.
Front desk is professional and laundry services is great!

I really like this hotel. Most of the Staff are polite and helpful and many can speak reasonable English. The rooms I have had on the last two occasions have been good .... clean, everything working (including the heating!) and quiet. I'[ll continue to use Yun's as my Shanghai base while they maintain this standard.
One word of warning to Yun's Management ... putting an air purifier in a room where a smoker has slept does not make it a non-smoking room!!!

If the hotel can sort out the smell of smoke in supposedly non-smoking rooms, it would do a lot to ensure I kept returning. Also, the staff leave a bit to be desired .... arrogance doesn't go down well with me and could see me looking for another hotel for my regular visits to Shanghai.

The hotel is ok,modern style. Room size is fine. The location is a real asset as you are close to 2 metro stations. You can easily get to the bund, people's square, Nanjing road...
The service is ok, reception staff very helpful and speak good english. Breakfast was a but messy, supposed to start at 6 but the buffet was not ready before 7. Restaurant service is just so so.
Allover its a good place to stay at, specially for the price you pay, and if you are looking for a good location, this hotel would be the right choice!

Stayed at Yun's for a second time. Some problems this time ... put in Smoking Room with some sort of airpurifier to get rid of the smell. Futile! The smokers smell permeates everything ... bedclothes, pillow, curtains, carpet. Aircon. did not work. Wouldn't heat and it was freezing! Advised front desk next morning and upon checking was told it had been fixed. Wrong! Was transferred to a Non-smoking room ... again, no aircon.

I will give them one more try ... if no improvement will go somewhere else.

Location is good and convenient to tourist attractions. But hotel is a little run down, and service is not great. Asked room service to bring an iron and ironing board but they took 45 mins to deliver. Carpet in room is dirty and headboard was scratched and peeling. One plus point though, bell captain always helped in getting taxis from the street. Overall average hotel but ok for the price.

In a city as Shanghai.....this hotel is a very good compromise for price, location, "design".......

I have been looking for a good hotel in central Shanghai at the right price. A place to stay on my frequent visits to Shanghai. I have found it.
Yun's Paradise ... centrally located, clean, friendly staff, restaurant is OK ... a bit expensive, but the food is excellent with an innovative way of ordering ... from actual samples. The waiter accompanies you while you browse and choose.
Breakfast ... excellent. Mainly Chinese dishes, but also fruit, an egg chef who makes excellent omelets, toast and limited cereals.
The room was reasonably spacious, huge batroom. Shower could be a bit cleaner, but OK.
Will stay there again ... often!

What a pleasant surprise to find this very reasonably pricedhotel in the heart of Shanghai. It is close to many tourist spots and the rooms are clean and well decorated. I had a room with a king sized bed so the bathroom was quite small but useable. Just had to move out of the way to open and close the door and needed to close the door to get near the sink. Has one of those nice rain shower nozzles and good water pressur. The hotel has a Spa and a Gym on the 6th floor. Both looked clean and neat. The restaurant for breakfast is on the first floor and although the breakfast is Chinese style, there is lots of choice and you can get your eggs cooked and scrambled as well as an omlette. The front desk staff were helpful and they always had someone on duty who spoke English. There is a shopping center acrossed the road with 5 or 6 good restaurants that are reasonably priced. I liked it so much I have booked two more stays here. Great value for your money.
