best hotel for stay in reasonable price near nanjing shopping street

Every time I have to visit Shanghai I book this hotel.
Location is just perfect - in the middle of Puxi, close to Nanjing Road, Yuyuan (Lao Miao), Huahai Road, Sichuan Road, metro station is just round the corner.
Lots of nice restaurants in range of 10 minutes of walk (Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Malaysian, New Zealand, Israeli, Italian restaurants in close proximity).
Hotel personal very friendly and eager to help.
In three words for summing up: very nice hotel!

It's not so bad but need improve much. It's too far away from the Hong Qiao airport. The service is good.

in case u want to come here for tourism, its actually a good location right at the top of the french concession. just get used to the idea u are under the east yannan road elevated section and walk due south.

Even though, I chose to stay here for the cheap price, I was still disappointed at the quality. I selected this hotel for the location and cheapest room for a single one-night stay, $41 plus tax and service, total $47.
Now, having stayed in many low to high ends hotels, I should know what to expect of a $50 USD hotel.

The room was small with no window, fair enough, I knew that. But it was so small that I felt boxed-in. It felt like there wasn’t any air coming into the room. Plus, the carpeted floor was incredibly dirty, but the bathroom and bathing were clean. However, if you have to stay for more than just one night, I recommend you spend a little more money and go for a bigger room with a window! The location also isn't that great, a good 10 min walk to Nanjing street, or metro.

Nothing to good to say about breakfast either, it was mediocre. Staff spoke very limited English, but it was sufficient. The bright spot of my experience was that the bell boy was very helpful and friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Probably for location one of the least expensive hotels in Shanghai. I wouldn't recommend eating at the 3rd floor restaurant though, I was not that impressed with the food's value for money.

The TV in my room had channels mainly in Chinese, but ya, this is China, so not surprised. The bed in my room was a bit firm for my tastes, but the decor is lovely. But I would say all in all this is a great hotel and it's up to four-star standards for sure.

This might be the hotel with the best value for money in downtown Shanghai, with acceptable facilities and good service.

Very quick check-out, and no room-checking, very good.

酒店的设备比较老了。所以显得比较陈旧。服务也一般。靠近高架比较吵，车不太好打。坐地铁也有点远。算了市中心的酒店太贵了。只能将就一下了。
