Sofitel Galaxy Nanjing

I stayed here 4 years ago and it was quite nice. It's still OK, but the rooms look really beat up. Beds were good, but the dumb thing is the bathroom - it's all glass, so that when someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, the whole room is lit up. Location is quiet, but kind of far from the sights. Service was quite excellent. Swimming pool is wonderful, treadmills in gym need to be maintained. They were not in good shape.

Friendly, professional and quick service. Excellent breakfast.

Pros:

- The staff were friendly and efficient and a fast checkout
- Big room with big windows and good view
- The room had lots of sitting possibilities like the office chair/desk in one corner, another couch for watching TV in the middle, and an arm-chair for relaxing in the other corner
- LAN Connection included in room rate
- Great neighborhood with lots of shopping and dining and close to metro

Cons:

- The LCD TV was kind of small
- Breakfast needs work and atmosphere in dining room was a bit too bright/crowded
- We had to wait several times for elevators for a few minutes and twice they were too full to get on so we waited even longer
- Funny smell in room until we turned on air and left and returned, then okay

Great staff, location and rooms. Convenient transportation with easy cabs and about a 10 minute walk to the subway. Plenty of places to eat, from nice restaurants to an outdoor "food street" with lots of local cheap eats, within a few minutes' walk and plenty of good shopping. We really loved Nanjing and loved this hotel!

Its room, location and service were hard to beat.As to the 7F buffet meal, it was far from perfect. There were few varieties.

Was upgraded to executive room free of charge.
Ambience and room facility were great.

酒店保养很好，服务不错，洗漱用品是欧舒丹的，住得很好。但早餐比较一般，样式不多，补充也不够及时，和酒店其他服务有一定差距，我们第二天就出去吃啦~

酒店早餐饮食不错适合胃口，房间之大令老外朋友诧异，附近有美食街，下次肯定还会来入住，赞！

酒店的位置很好，靠近湖南路和山西路，有很多美食，出任都非常方便，会再次考虑入住，谢谢！

房间的设施非常非常棒，特别大，床的设施也是非常的好，值得推荐！！！下次还会入住，也会推荐朋友入住
