Jinling Hotel Nanjing

Although the hotel is very old but the interior is nice and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the chinese restaurant is very nice! It is still one of the better hotels in Nanjing!

We stayed in the Jinling Hotel over Mid Autumn Festival weekend. the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was great and good value for money. The bed was very comfortable.
The only downside was the breakfast buffet. We found the quality of the food below standard. Although there was a reasonably large choice of foods, it just wasnt very good, especially the western selection.
Overall, a good hotel and I would stay there again - but probably get breakfast in Starbucks across the road....

Service is not up to par with most world renowned 5 star hotels. Can't help but feel I was bothering the staff when I asked for question, favor, etc. I asked for late checkout and it felt like I was treated like some crook. They don't seem to understand concept of hospitality management. I waited patiently in taxi line only to have a barrage of other hotel guests cutting in line, while the doorman try to explain to them that I was next, they proceeded to yell and holler. This is really a hotel for tourists looking to for quick gloss over tour of Nanjing, wouldn't stay here again.

Heard good things and read good reviews but turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. We went for a nice suite but despite superficial cleanliness we quickly noticed that things were rather old and stained, including a disturbing stain on a chair. Also, though room was "non-smoking" it still smelled faintly of old smoke. Maybe they hadn't aired it out enough but you expect "non-smoking" to mean that nobody's lit up in there at all. Not THAT big a deal maybe in China but we expected better. The buffet dinner was a downer—mediocre at best and for such an otherwise fancy hotel in the middle of the city we expected more. Yet the breakfasts were pretty good. Consistency? Finally, if you get a massage, watch out for attempt on the very tarty massage therapists to get extra tips on top of the service charge you get on your bill, and if you're there with a BF or husband, watch out. You'd think you were in a bordello, seriously. I had to laugh.

There are some good things—location is superb, and on our last day we found that the Japanese restaurant is quite good. Convenient to lots of Nanjing's best tourist attractions but this hotel feels more like a business hotel, not a really great tourist hotel. I'd try again only because friends recommended and maybe we caught a lot of bad breaks, but I'm not sure I'd recommend myself to others.

The hotel staff was very kind to our children, and the spacious room was well suited to our needs. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the hotel's surroundings, which are dirty and polluted and made somewhat hazardous by heavy traffic.

My brother went to Nanjing for a business travel and booked this hotel. They seemed to be very satisfied with this hotel. Nice service, good ambiance.

尽管很老，但各方面还是很好，特别是早餐和自助餐。交通很方便，就在地铁口，服务也很到位。出租车方便。价格也很公道，对得起5星。

非常不错的酒店，强烈建议入住。交通方便，服务很好。干净，而且餐饮选择丰富。位于市中心，周围商店林立。非常适合商务出行。

金陵饭店优点，服务好，周围吃喝方便。缺点：无法打车，设备简陋。

预定的周末促销房价，到前台给升级了行政楼层，不错，景色很好。老5星了，赞一个！
不过价格只在周末有效，周一继续住，价格就升高了不少了 ：（
