Empark Grand Hotel Kunming

Although my family did not use mineral water and tea leaf, they were charged almost 180RMB!
When checking out, we found the extra charge and requested to modiy, but the procedure took more than 30 minitutes.
The local maid did not admitt her mistakes, in addition, provoked my wife to quarrel.
What a terrible Hotel ! Where is 5 star?

1) The check in was very slow at 9pm, travelled all day, tired.
2) For a Executive Deluxe room it was so so.
3) Cereal bowls are too small
4) Waited over 20 minutes for a taxi.

However, will likely stay here again, due to it's location near airport

For me, Kunming was just a stopover on my way to Dali, Lijiang and Tiger Leaping Gorge, so my needs were limited to having a place to crash for my first night and the last night of my trip.

However, I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were really helpful when I was trying to get directions to the animal and flower markets. My room was large and had a nice view of the gardens. I would book here again.

I've been to Kunming three times and have to say I think this is one of the best hotels in the city for comfort and good amenities. The only thing I wish is that it was a bit closer to Salvador's Coffee House (my favorite cafe in the city).

So despite being a bit out of the way, taxis in Kunming are pretty cheap and the hotel is nice enough to make it worth it.

I've booked at this hotel twice and each time I've had a large room, good food from the dining room and the service is good too, although some of the staff are a bit rusty speaking English.

It's a great hotel despite its slightly out-of-the-way location. The surroundings are just so so, but the interior ambience is great, up to its five-star standard, with first-class services. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious, and both the spa and hot spring are excellent.

It's actually an above-five-star hotel with hot spring, spa, spacious rooms, big beds and balconies. The breakfast is delicious with great services. Strongly recommend it!

I was heard that it is the best hotel in Kunming. Really it is. It's newly decorated, and relatively close to the airport, but it's a little far from the city center. It offers a wide selection of food for breakfast, and free internet access is provided.

Although it was built in 2006, there wasn't any odor when I lived there in May 2007. The hotel is well decorated and the food is delicious. I will happily return.
