Best for catching the sunrise over Huangshan
The Baiyun Hotel (Baiyun Binguan) is located in the Tianhai scenic area of Huangshan, China's famous "Yellow Mountain." Surrounded by soaring peaks and wistful pines, this mountaintop hotel backs onto Bright Summit, one of the best spots to witness the majestic sight of the sun rising over the misty mountains. It's a sight that is well worth the early start, and the morning chill is alleviated by thick down jackets available to all guests.
The hotel is built in traditional Hui style with rustic but cozy wood-lined "eco" rooms or more traditional style options available, many of which offer exceptional mountain views.
Dining options on Huangshan are limited to hotels and snack stalls with the Baiyuan Hotel's 800-seater restaurant offering a range of Chinese and Western friendly options. Other facilities are limited but include a small shop and business center for those all important emails, but really Huangshan is all about the magnificent scenery and a mountain top stay is the perfect way to enjoy it to the max.
