The Metropole Hotel (Xincheng Fandian) is located in the city centre, only a five minute walk from the Bund, 18km from Hongqiao Airport and 5km from the railway station. Guests can take the  bus to Pudong New Airport from directly in front of the hotel.

This is a fairly unique spot and the hotel retains a little of its art deco splendour, with a great location. The 145 rooms are all tastefully decorated and have standard amenities and facilities for comfort and convenience. Some rooms offer views of the Pudong Oriental TV tower.

There are eight different restaurants here serving fine Chinese cuisine, and the Metropole Hotel bar is an ideal place to unwind.

For business travellers, there are difference sized meeting rooms for hire, and the business centre is open round the clock, providing telex, fax, IDD and photocopying services.

Recreation facilities here include a sauna, beauty salon and gymnasium. Other features are safe deposit boxes, a foreign exchange desk, room service, flight ticket reservations and an arts and craft shopping centre.
