The Zhaojun Hotel (Zhaojun Dajiudian) is located in downtown Hohhot, on the intersection of Xilinguole Road and Xinhua Street. It is just half a kilometer from the railway station and 15 kilometers from Baita Airport.
Although its exterior isn't incredibly appealing, this Hong Kong joint venture is one of the best hotels in Hohhot for its well-equipped facilities and excellent room services. The reception area is particularly impressive, with murals depicting the life of Wang Zhaojun, scenes from the grasslands and a grand tapestry of Genghis Khan.
The Hohhot hotel offers 258 rooms, ranging from deluxe suites to standard rooms equipped with satellite TVs, international direct dial phones, and air conditionings.
For dining and refreshments the hotel has three restaurants, a café, and a bar. Two of the restaurants, the Suiqing Garden Restaurant and the Emei Garden Restaurant are Chinese which serve Sichuan, Cantonese, and Mongolian cuisines. The other restaurant, the Windsor Castle Restaurant, serves French dishes.
For recreation, there is a swimming pool, sauna, a gym, a bowling center, a nightclub, a beauty salon, and gift shops (one down the stairs from reception, the other on the ground floor). The hotel also has a bank, a travel center and a currency exchange counter.
