Eva Inn

Its an interesting city, clean, friendly and most things a tourist expect can be easily available. EVA INN is strategically located to the tourist sports and is reasonable priced. this is my second time stay in the hotel in a short period of 6 weeks and I will be glad to recommend to family tourist and small group to make use of this INN.
However I have one recommendation to make for the INN, and that is to up grade its internet connectability. the network, though available is not friendly. Further more these days more web surfers that travel carry wireless (WIFI) epads and will not be able to use the cord connection currently available.

The price is good for the big clean rooms (no in-room safe though). We got the Riverside Smart Twin Room, and it came with 2 large beds. The view was good, but it was of trees between us and the river (we were on the lower floors).
I did not find useful help in arranging or getting information about tours or sightseeing ideas, since the tour desk was by a non-english speaking person. The location is good since it is a block or two from the market street that sells food and many many clotihing & accessories.
It has free wifi in the room, which is a plus. I'd stay here again, now that I have been there.

good price, but maybe the only thing good, the bedroom was not so clean, the famous view from the restaurant at 7th flor was not so beautyful.

The Eva Inn Hotel is a good hotel for a good price! Nice location at the river and close to the city center. I would not recommend to take breakfast in this hotel, it is expensive and not very tasty.

Pleasant location on Binjiang road, neighbour to Sheraton hotel. Stayed 6 nights. Plus point, air conditioner excellent.

Negative points,
1. In deluxe riverside room, no closet or hanger for clothes.
2. Staff sullen and unpleasant, especially breakfast room staff. Some days toast and fried eggs available, other days, no buffet, simply handed a platter with rice porridge and typical Chinese breakfast. Left untouched. Could be a nice hotel, but staff seem totally unmotivated.
3. River view? Totally screened by trees, no view whatsoever.
4. Value poor by guilin standards, despite being listed as breakfasts included, these were charged!

While staying at the Eva Inn during our trip to China at the end of 2009, we found the experience to be very positive. The room was pleasant and clean the staff very courteous and helpful. While a lot of the staff couldn't speak English, we didn't find it to be too much of a problem as they would always find a manager of some kind to sort everything out with us.

The cleaning ladies make their rounds at 7 in the morning without fail and they always made sure to change our sheets daily.
The location was great as well, right by the river and at a walking distance to the main streets of Guilin, restaurants, Elephant Hill Park and the markets.

I would recommend this hotel to causal travelers whom are just looking for a nice and cheap place to stay for the night.

Some hotel staff arranged tours and cheated us. We were forced to pay entrance fee for our guide. But I think he went in for free. The guide's name is Steve. He ordered food and without asking us got shared in the meal. It was really annoying. He can destroy the hotel reputation. I hope the hotel never hire him as a tourist guide.

酒店在喜来登旁边，环境不错，挺清净的。就是房间离楼下服务台比较近，有旅行团到来，非常吵闹。还有时不时电话声也比较吵。

装修旧，位置好，就在象鼻山旁边，晚上风景很不错，但是里面旧了，而且价格有点高，整体还算可以。

在市中心，出门就是步行街了，只是标间里的电视太旧还不清楚。不过朋友住的江景房电视倒是液晶型的。离店时有点小不愉快，说是枕套有点脏了，有点棕色印子，我父母用的枕套，我也不知是旧印还是新印，让赔了25元，因为赶时间所以也没去房间里看是不是我们弄的。
