Starway Yuyuan Hotel Dalian

the starwaay in located in firewoood courtyard - a historical site, walking district, with many good and cheap restaurants near zonggshanga lu / beijing lu in the old district of qingdao. its a nice location and also the hotel istself is made like a historical hotel, also the staff has historical clothes. free wifi, but it does not work in all rooms. staff dont speak english. no foreign credit cards accepted. i stayed now send time here, like it !

We booked a standard room. The room is quite new and also big. Facilities are functional, and the internet speed is also very fast.

No western breakfast was available, no fruit or even coffee. Anyway, the Chinese breakfast was acceptable.

Staff are not very warm. The service after 10pm esp needs improvement.

Both the surroundings and the location are great, but the reception have bad attitudes!!

Good value. Room is clean and the service is also satisfying. I will come back here next time.

Reasons for recommending: convenient location downtown, handy to the airport. BIG room.

To improve: no tea or coffee for breakfast. free internet access but have to pay for the power line.

A nice hotel. First, the location is great, right beside the local gov. in the downtown, easy transportation. no more than CNY 15 by taxi to most of the scenic spots.

The service is also good. The only complaint I have is that the king room (CNY 248) is said to have free internet access, but actually mine didn't. I was told there was something wrong. They changed a room for me later. Another disadvantage is that most rooms have no sunshine because there is a tall building in front of the hotel. Maybe the rooms on upper floors are better.

Breakfast is OK but the dumplings were too expensive. I ordered 500g, it cost CNY 49 but i didn't feel full at all after i had it. Seemed like they only gave me around 250g.

A little cold in the room at night. Overall, it's good.

The overall facilities and service meet 3-star standards. Receptionists are nice and enthusiastic, they seem to have improved since my last stay.

The service staff on my floor were very patient and responsible. The breakfast needs improvement. Breakfast time is said to be from 7 to 9. I went to the restaurant at 8, but the vegetables and the noodles were both cold, only the porridge and eggs were still hot. Winter is coming, so they should improve their facilities and keep the food warm for guests.

The room they reserved for me is slightly different from what we requested. We put forward our requests, and the duty manager checked and apologized to us sincerely and politely, very good attitude.

The hotel seems to be recently refurbished, the bathroom looks new, clean and bright. But the bathroom design is not very reasonable. The floor was flooded with water after bathing. I think this can be improved.

Room was relatively big, but there was only a single bedlamp. The room is a little bit on the dark side at night.

I like the hotel's proximity to the city square. Only thing unsatisfying was that there was no shopping in the vicinity.
