New Empire Hotel

My only complaint about this hotel was the location. there is not much to do tourist attraction wise in Changsha so it would probably be better staying closer to Mount Yuelu or somewhere like that. the facilities here were great - we had a huge king size bed and a nice clean room. staff were very friendly and there was always someone at reception who spoke english. we had a non-smoking room although we constantly had whiffs of smoke entering our room all day which was a little annoying.

Why do so many Koreans come here? Is there something special I don't know about???

The decor is really quite elegant.

The hotel, if you are doing business in that area, is fine regarding location. The rooms were spacious and nice. Great beds and pillows, good shower, hot water, etc. Since it is new, the carpets were clean and all in good order. However, and this is not uncommon with Chinese hotels but should not be the case for a 4-5 star, they turn the AC off at 11 PM and do not turn it on again until 11 AM. Be ready to wake up every night at 5 AM and the room being 27 C/ 80 F. In the AM, be prepared to be sweating and uncomfortable by the time you are showered and dressed. Of course, when you are out on business, etc. during the day, the AC is on and all is great for the management. Breakfast is all Chinese and would rate about a 2 star. Poor service in the restaurant.

第一次来长沙,酒店交通还算方便,但离市区远一点,服务很好,早餐有点单调,总体来说还不错,下次来还会选择这里.

酒店的硬件设施不错，配套设施也算完善。只是一次性用品需要收费，这个需要注意，长沙很多酒店现在都这样，搞不明白。酒店位置稍微有点偏，出去打车不太方便。

大厅里的烟味没有那么浓了，前台接待和善很多， 周围环境在岳麓区来说是最好的，赞！

大堂一般，房间还可以，订了两间房，朋友那间房门后面还有喝剩的半瓶红茶，好在淋浴打开就有热水，我这间淋浴打开足等了有20分钟水才有点温度但也不太热，洗的冻死了！前台服务态度还可以，就是意识不高，不知道主动示意客人在面前也不知道站起来！客房服务员态度很一般！整体一般！

一进大厅就闻到一股浓烈的烟味而且很昏暗 大床房非常小 大厅吧只有茶 其余还好 希望改进

第一次住这里，除了距离市中心远一点其他还算可以，如果床能更软点，早餐能再精致点就更好了，服务员态度很好。
