Raffles Beijing Hotel

as an advise be very carful of giving your credit card as deposit ,they charge mine after my departure and full payment at hotel .....i had to call and really i can''t understand they say its a mistake but 5 star hotel raffle .....

The Raffles hotel was exactly the tonic needed after a long period of travel. Excellent facilities and friendly staff.

Only downside was the pool was a little too cold (splitting hairs!) and the coffee at breakfast was a bit grim (more serious!).

Not being a resident of Beijing (or China in that matter) I found the Raffles Beijing Hotel to be an excellent hotel for people wishing to see the sites of Beijing. Located in the center of the city, the hotel is only about a 10 – 15 minute drive from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. On top of this it is only a 5 min walk to the subway station, which is a must, due to Beijing’s extremely dense traffic.

Regarding the inner workings of the hotel, I must first say that the staff was very warm and eager to help, even with my mundane questions on how I would obtain a map on bus routes and where I can go to get an international calling card. While the Raffles hotel does sport some great restaurants, I was out and about in Beijing due to the city’s great specialty restaurants. But the hotel breakfast was great, sporting a mix of a Western and Asian buffets.

In all, this was a great hotel with excellent staff who were eager to help a first timer get their bearings in a new/foreign city. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to see the historical sites and the bustling city of Beijing.

地理位置是绝对的优势，公交地铁很方便，离王府井、天安门都很近。房间很大，服务质量很好，以后还会继续入住

地理位置极其优越，门口就有地铁站，步行到东方新天地和王府井只要两三分钟，到天安门和故宫可以选择坐一站地铁，也可以步行，7、8分钟就到了，很适合旅游度假的客人。打车的话提前跟礼宾部打招呼就行了，不用自己到大街上等车。

帮别人预定的房间 ，听说还不错，挺满意的，因为在北京王府井附近，交通还算方便，以后还会经常光临。

优点：
1）房间很大，卧房和客厅可以通过滑门隔开，有套房的感觉，铺设的是木地板，两边床头柜都设置了电子控制面板，非常方便。
2）早餐有自制的酸奶和鲜榨果汁，中西餐用黑白两种餐盘区分，很喜欢中餐用的黑色餐具。
3）地理位置极其优越，门口就有地铁站，步行到东方新天地和王府井只要两三分钟，到天安门和故宫可以选择坐一站地铁，也可以步行，7、8分钟就到了，很适合旅游度假的客人。打车的话提前跟礼宾部打招呼就行了，不用自己到大街上等车。
4）服务很到位，没有出现怠慢中国客人的问题。
缺点：
1）淋浴房比较小，而且没有手持龙头，不方便。浴室设施比较陈旧（尤其水龙头），热水出得很慢。洗漱用品的档次相对低了，质量不好。
2）早餐中餐的品种太少，每天都是一样，没有变化。
