We stayed at this hotel for eight nights while on vacation. The staff were very friendly, with one even taking us to find a local item we wanted after her shift ended. The room was a bit run down considering it is a 4-star hotel. The paint job was poor, the in-room safe didn't work, the batteries in the remote control were dead, and the shower wouldn't drain most days (a larger plumbing issue, not just a clogged drain). The plaza right outside the hotel is very loud, but it didn't bother us. The breakfast had only Chinese options, which was fine with us, but did get old by the 8th day! The hotel restaurant is nice and has a picture menu, though many items in it are unavailable once requested. The Anshun location is convenient to a lot of nice tourist attractions, though the hotel might arrange a personal driver for you when you just ask for a taxi. This cost a lot more money one day than we had planned. Finally, the hotel never removed the hold they had put on our bank account as a deposit for the room (Y5000 - double the cost for the week) when we checked out, so we have been having issues getting that money unfrozen despite phone calls to the hotel. Make sure this is resolved at check-out! There are not many good options for hotels in this area, so this one is sufficient despite its faults.
